Back online

well i have not been online for a week or so because my laptop got a virus and it destroyed everything. I have had to wait 10days for my reinstallation discs to arrive which they did do on friday. When they did arrive they didn't come with the drivers to allow me to get on the net, this posed a problem for me which wound me up no end, but thankfully i have now got the drivers and now am back online.

I hope to find work really soon as it is getting me down now. It is sooo warm again i cant believe it.

Cristiano Ronaldo: The complete footballer
Anyone handed the number seven shirt at Manchester United has a lot to live up to, but there is little doubt that current custodian Cristiano Ronaldo wears it with distinction. Only a player of supreme confidence and almost unworldly ability would be happy to follow the likes of George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona and David Beckham into the 'magnificent 7' but those qualities perfectly fit Ronaldo. The winger's fantastic natural talents have developed and matured over the past five seasons at United and the player is now undoubtedly one of the most exciting and potent attacking threats in world football. The legend goes that Sir Alex Ferguson was persuaded to sign the Portuguese protégé by his own players after United had faced Sporting Lisbon in a pre-season friendly in 2003. Whatever the truth in that story it wasn't long before the largely unknown 18-year-old arrived in Manchester with £12.24 million going the other way.
He took little time to make an impact, scoring eight times in 39 games, including the opener in the FA Cup final win over Millwall. Since then Ronaldo's route to the summit of world football has seemed practically a foregone conclusion. He was at the heart of United's Premiership title in 2006-07, striking up a devastating partnership with Wayne Rooney that included seven goals in five games over the crucial Christmas period. It was that sort of form, allied to outstanding performances for the Portuguese national team, that earned Ronaldo third place in the 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year award, along with a clean sweep of domestic Player of the Year awards. To the horror of defences around the world Ronaldo only gets better. He is now a prolific goalscorer with a devastating free-kick and an extensive box of tricks. He is a natural born winner with a deep passion for the game and is well on his way to being an Old Trafford legend.

Was Kurt Cobain murdered

I just do not buy the story that after just a year, Cobain was sick enough of singing the song that made his dreams come true, that he would short-change fans , (on a whim) , who had paid him good money to suffer through playing it again. An entertainer is there to provide his fans pleasure. He is not there to entertain himself. I credit Cobain with more decency than some do, who sayCobain just decided to hate the song one day and ruin things for those who liked it. He probaby had an excellent reason fordisliking the song. Cobain played his ten year old music repetitively at the concerts with no problem. These were songs that he had played far longer and far more often than Smells Like Teen Spirit, yet he had no problem with repetition as far as those songs went. Cobain also played old Cars radio hits at his concerts, stuff that had been played to death on the radio, like 'My Best Friends Girl'. If he was such the purist that everyone makes him out to be, he should not have been caught dead doing that, but he did it nonetheless. Imagine spending years as a cover band doing old punk songs and old Led Zeppelin songs without complaint, and then a short time later being paid a couple of hundred thousand a night just to make teenaged girls smile and scream at you, with a certain three minute song, and then wrinkling your nose at it all and saying. "EEEew, how droll. It is most definitely beneath me to do so any longer." Excuse me? This from a guy who slept under a bridge at one point? He played other songs from Nevermind with gusto, and never left them out, such as In Bloom and Lithium. Songs that were created at the same time and played with the same frequency that he played SLTS or Come As You Are. There are some who say those two songs were overplayed on radio, which is why Cobain got sick of them. You think he sat around jerking off to the radio all day on his days off getting sick of the songs? I doubt it. He was too busy to listen to the radio at that time of his life, so radio popularity is a non-factor here. So why were just the two songs Smells Like Teen Spirit and Come As You Are continually butchered or avoided? I don't see it as a mere coincidence that along comes this guy who lays claim to penning the same two songs. I see no reason for this guy to just manufacture the whole story, and it neatly explains Cobain's aversion to those two songs. Playing those two songs, his biggest hits, should have been the highlight of Cobains night, if only for the pleasure which he could bring to others by playing them. We are supposed to believe he denied people that, but also earned the wrath of the promoters and record company, on some selfish little tirade? It is ridiculous. THat would be like a restaurant that earns its living serving the best pizza in the city deciding one night, on a whim, to send its customers pizza without the cheese, because they themselves were 'sick of cheese'.IT is ludicrous. Imagine all the customers opening up their pizza boxes , freshly delivered, to find their cheeseless pizzas!"Oh, I hear Mario's got bored with cheese. They are sick of the commercial predictability of cheese pizza, and besides, its over-rated."In Nirvana's case, its even worse. How many restaurateurs earn the kind of money that they did for one nights dancing around?Cobain was being paid to deliver, paid big money. It is F***ing ridiculous. Cobain had to have another reason for doing that, and it was not 'artistic purity', imo. He was tired of singing the song because it always reminded him of what he dreaded. Exposure. Fraud. Shame. If what this guy is saying is true (and I think it is) every time he played the song , he'd be sickened by it. And scared by it. He'd be expecting each new city to be the possible home of the writer, each tour date one closer to the inevitable day that someone came knocking on the door, or ringing his phone, saying "Hey Kurt, I have a tape of my band that proves we did that song three years before you recorded it. "It may be that he committed suicide partially to avoid ever seeing that day. I can understand veteran bands like the Rolling Stones (Mick Jagger) getting sick of singing at aged 30, 40, or 50, songs that they recorded as teenagers, with fans expecting them to still sound the same and look the same and think the same as they did thirty years ago.I can understand Eric Clapton eventually morphing 'Layla' into a more dignified version , befitting the veteran blues man that he'd become.I can imagine Aerosmith dreading another rendition of 'Dream ON' or 'Walk this Way' thirty years later. I can see Bowie vomiting at the thought of stuttering 'ch ch ch ch changezzzzzzzzzzz' again .The night's gate receipts are neither dependent or resplendent on one or three songs. These people , these megastars, have literally dozens of hits behind them to make the night a success.I cannot imagine Nirvana in the same context . I refuse to delude myself into believing that it was the same situation. They had ONE hit record:Nevermind. There were three or four big hits on it. To most of their fans, including the promoters and record company execs among them, the two major hits were Smells Like Teen Spirit and Come As You Are, and these songs were not even a year old before Cobain began screwing with them. Mocking them, avoiding them. It was almost like he was expecting the sh** to hit the fan, and he wanted to be able to say "Hey, you all know that I hated those songs and never liked to play them. Shit, I even parodied them. Remember?" Reluctantly. They played it reluctantly, but they had to play it , for obvious reasons.I know of someone who used to follow the band around when they were in his REGION, and he saw them live in about five different cities on the same tour. According to him, in every city that he caught them in, Cobain played Come As You Are in a slightly different key, and almost always did something to change it, whether it was botching the guitar solo slightly, skipping a verse, or changing lyrics slightly. These were things that someone like him would notice, a truly obsessed fan, while most people would not. He said the same thing went for Smells Like Teen Spirit. Cobain would do small things to the tuning or key of it, shorten it, distort it, but what he noticed most of all was Cobain's lack of enthusiasm for singing it. The song was always set to be the highlight of the night, and Cobain would sing it mechanically and emotionlessly. By contrast, he belted out flawless and emotive versions of all his other songs. The end result was always the same . A subtle feeling of disappointment at the end of the night. A feeling something had been held back or had gone missing.Cobain was forced to explain this in interviews. People were noticing and asking about it. and he would answer with things like "we sold out with that record (Nevermind)"Here is a review of a DVD that Nirvana put out of their live performances called Nirvana Live!Tonight! (1994)'The performances:The setlist would have been fine, but a few of the songs are not fully included. An elitist and mean tease of the audience with a few seconds of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" before breaking off and Kurt saying the band wasn't going to perform that one (Why, then start it at all?) is only complimented with a pretend performance of the song with Kurt mockingly lowering his voice, and even this footage ends during the guitar solo. "Come as You Are" also suffers from an irritating singing style choice that Kurt felt reflected his artistic passion that night, rather than some perverse joy from screwing with fans and ruining a song the band had probably spent weeks if not months perfecting in studio.'They were supposed to play Smells Like Teen Spirit at Video Music Awards in 1992, and Cobain refused, and they ended up doing 'Lithium'.btw, on the back page of "The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah", a live compilation CD of their biggest hits, turn it over and look at the credits: "All songs written by Kurt Cobain except "Smells Like Teen Spirit and Scentless Apprentice". And notice 'Come As You Are' was not even included on it. There is no live version of Come As You Are on a live compilation album of their biggest hits? wtf???btw, Scentless Apprentice is officially known to have been written by all three members of Nirvana. There is no explanation of who wrote Smells Like Teen Spirit. The other band members have never claimed to have written it."We're going on tour this year and we're gonna have a whole new setwith whole new songs so that we don't ever have to play Smells LikeTeen Spirit again. I mean it's a great song but for many people it'slike the only Nirvana song and that's upsetting" - Kris and DaveI ask again:What in the hell is so upsetting about getting rich while bringing joy to millions of people by singing a f***ing 3 minute song? Now we know the answer.

What strikes me as odd, is that Courtney Love made a habit of plying the media with 'heroin' stories. She was notorious for playing the media and at least once voluntarily contacted the media with a false story about hers and Kurt's drug use. While this was long ago dismissed and written off as a publicity ploy, a mere stunt for media attention, what if it were actually something else? What if it really is true that grunge was createdby the CIA, and that part of the plan was to popularize heroin use by associating it with glamorous rock stars? In that case, Love would have been following orders to make their drug use public. What if Cobain's plan to stop using drugs angered the people who had made him who he was? Maybe they wanted himto stay addicted to maintain control of him, and feared that once he kicked the drugs , he was going to start remembering thingsand revealing things that they did not want him talking about? What if the drugs were crucial to suppressing his memories, and they wanted to keep him quiet? This reminds me of the stories of aging prostitutes who are mysteriously murdered by 'serial killers' almost the moment they kick heroine and try to retire. Can't let them go 'straight' with all that they know about who supplied them their drugs, and setting a bad example to all the other addicts out there. Think of it. If a hooker were to kick the drugs, and start helping her friends and younger girls kick the drugs, next thing you know you have a confict on your hands. The dealers want the money to keep rolling in. They do everything they can to keep the girls addicted and hooking, while the 'reformed' prostitute is working against them, trying to save her friends that are still alive and get them off the drugs, and the worst part is that she becomes walking proof that it is possible. Then the dummy might get the bright idea to help the police bust the suppliers of the drugs by sharing what she knows about who. A terribly bad influence on the youngsters, and a threat to the security of the network, she is found dead in the river like a lot of others.Maybe Cobain was set to go making a nuisance of himself the same way. Off the drugs, and in rehab boasting about how he'd like to warn his young fans about drugs etc.Nirvana came from 'out of nowhere' , and suddenly got heavy MTV rotation of their videos, and coincidentallyhappened to be already touring in Europe on the strength of a no-name unknown album. Then it goes around to all the young people that Cobain's on heroin, heroin is the in thing, and oh, somebody knows someone else who can get them some to try out. This looks contrived to me. The same people providing the music and the MTV publicity etc.are the ones providing the drugs: the international narcotics trade. It is known that MTV is allegedly owned by figurehead Murray Sumner Rothstein (aka Sumner Redstone) , who is a former OSS/CIA encryption specialist. Rothstein worked for the OSS cracking Japanese codes during WWII.Rothstein/Redstone is CIA all the way. The CIA is notorious for running drugs all over the world. Does Rothstein really own all those huge networks and conglomerates, etc? Or is he really just the figurehead for the true owner:the CIA. Are we in frigging communist Russia, with the KGB owning bloody television stations and newspapers? So now are we starting to see why the heroin-addicted Cobain found himself on MTV and in 40,000 seat venues? He was there to promote heroin use, because at the time , white kids were starting to reject, en masse, the 'ghetto chic' drug culture that MTV was merchandising.Grunge was created as a 'white ghetto' alternative, imo. The end goal being the same: Make street culture de rigeur among kids as a conduit to push drugs.I think with Cobain they gave up, blew his head off, and decided to make the drug dealers themselves the MTV stars, with people like Snoop Doggie Dog and Nelly and all the other 'gangstas'. Why fart around with risky white icons like Cobain?

hi

Are you a nice guy who has always wondered why the cocky guy -- the one who barely appears interested in the girl -- is usually the one who gets the girl? Have you suffered from hearing the words, "You're a really nice guy, but I only like you as a friend," from a woman who you would do (or may, in fact, have already done) just about anything and everything for -- only to turn around and watch her date (or even chase) a guy who treats her like she's nothing special? And are you stumped wondering why she would date a guy who treats her like that when she could have you who would treat her like a princess and give her everything she wants? Well, you better brace yourself because I'm going to tell you a couple of secrets that you might not want to hear. First, "nice" equates with boring and predictable. Look up "nice" in the dictionary and you find: pleasant; agreeable; satisfactory. In other words, average -- not exceptional, not exciting, and not sexy.I'll bet you've never heard a woman say she didn't want to date a guy because he was too confident, too passionate, or too exciting -- have you? But, I'll bet you have heard women say things like, "He's such a nice guy. He's so sweet and he's always there for me, but I only like him as a friend." Or, "He's such a good guy -- kind, thoughtful, generous, honest, loyal -- but there's no chemistry. He just doesn't turn me on." Sadly, I hear it all the time. The fact is, Mr. Nice Guy, you cannot bore a woman into feeling attracted to you or into wanting to date you. And as obvious as that sounds, if you are one of those guys I described that is exactly what you are trying to do. And it won't work. Please understand that I am not suggesting that you mistreat women or disrespect them in any way. What I suggesting is that you value and respect yourself more. What I suggesting is that you value and respect yourself more. To illustrate what I mean: The answer to the question, "Why does the guy who doesn't appear to care as much about the girl get the girl?" is simple: The nice guy cares too much, too soon. He has made the woman too important and too valuable and it shows in everything he says and does. He is too available, too eager to please, too accommodating, and he gives too much -- all without getting anything in return. By doing so, he has made himself appear desperate, insecure, needy of this woman's attention, affection, and approval -- and he has stripped himself of any value in her eyes. After all, if he's already doing and giving everything, without her doing or giving anything - why would she value him? She won't. She is not going to value him any more than he values himself. What she is going to do is look for someone else, someone who she perceives as being more worthy, more confident, and more valuable. It works like this: Once you need something, or you want it too badly, you forfeit your strength and lose all power of negotiation. Once you need something, or you want it too badly, you forfeit your strength and lose all power of negotiation. You are in a position of weakness and you are perceived as weak. Someone (or something) else is in control of you, the situation, and it's outcome. Men in this situation appear to be anything but confident, strong, and exciting. More, they are perceived as being unworthy and as lacking value. Translation: Things that are easily acquired, obtained, or maintained, without any effort or sacrifice, lack value... it's human nature. The secret to why the cocky guy wins with women, over the nice guy, is that he is perceived as being a stronger, more confident guy with more value. How? He never invests everything -- his entire being, ego, and self-worth in what one woman's response or reaction to him is. He doesn't gush with compliments; he isn't always available; he doesn't give too much; and he knows he isn't going to die if a woman says "no" to him. More, his attitude is, yeah, I'd like to go out with you, but if I can't, that's OK -- I'm a busy guy, with exciting things going on, and lots of other options.
